Manizeh has been a long time student of Sharon Gannon, David Life and Jai Uttal. She is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher and started Jivamukti Yoga London in 2005 (today’s Sangye Yoga) and she started and developed the Yoga program for the U.K.’s Maggie’s Cancer Centres. ‘’I’ve taken many Yoga classes, but Manizeh’s class is much more than just a class. It moves and shakes you to the core. It’s hard to put in words how much she has given me. Once you take her class you are hooked. She is a heart opener. No class or teacher has given me so much. Her classes are life changing.” Marie-Louise Scio

“Manizeh is a rare teacher who sees the innate wisdom, serenity, holiness, and happiness inside of everyone. She is committed to honoring that light in the individual and with her skill, dedication, and guidance the brightness gets brighter.” Sharon Gannon

“When I think of Manizeh, I think of integrity, love, power, commitment and humor. She’s a great friend to her community, her students and her extended family.” Jai Uttal

CLARE NICHOLLS

Clare’s interest in yoga was ignited as a child when she was introduced to the Mahabharata, she fell in love with the stories and the philosophies woven throughout. Since 2001, Clare has practiced asana and views the physical process as a way of undoing the habits we hold in our bodies and releasing the past to create space for the future. Clare began teaching in 2005 and by 2007 was running a small yoga space in the English Countryside. She began to specialise in teaching yoga for pregnancy and soon became motivated to train as a midwife. In 2010 Clare qualified with a BSc in Midwifery. She moved to London where she continued teaching yoga and practicing as a midwife. It was by the grace of the universe in 2010 she discovered the Jivamutki Method and it felt like coming home. Since 2013, Clare has taught Jivamukti throughout London and across the UK. In 2014 and 2015 Clare travelled around India, experiencing many sites of pilgrimage and integrating an understanding of the philosophies into her life, practice and teaching. In 2016-2017 she spent 10 months in Mysore chanting the Yoga Sutras under guidance of the wonderful Dr M.A. Jayashree and appreciating the detail of their philosophical themes through studying with Professor Narasimhan. Clare holds the Advanced Certification in the Jivamutki Method, with the blessings of her teachers she hopes to share her love of the darsana of yoga in all its elements. Hari Om.

Anna Lunegova

Anna Lunegova

Yoga arose in Anna’s life when she was a student at the State Academy of Arts and Culture Branch of the modern dance. She was interested in studying the diverse possibilities of the physical body in classical, folk and modern dance, and yoga. At the time, the interest in yoga was not keen and the idea of yoga was soon forgotten. However, the return later on was involuntary. Power, strength, endurance – these are the qualities that were necessary for her as a contemporary dancer of the Moscow Ballet troupe and yoga had helped her to cope with grueling physical activities as a dancer and ultimately instilled in her a respect for Chaturanga Dandasana. Further to the physical strength of the practice was the natural connection with the spiritual aspect…yoga came into her life once again.

It was with Jivamukti Yoga that Anna presented in the first Yoga Journal conference in Moscow (for which she express her gratitude to the organizers). Her encounter with Sharon Gannon and David Life followed soon after. She offers thanks to the other leading Jivamukti Yoga teachers, who have taught in Moscow and all over the world – Yogeswari, Lady Ruth, Cat Alip-Douglas and others. Anna gradually began to go deeper into the study of this method and is certain that this is what she feels connected to right now. Jivamukti is something that continues to develop her as a person, student and teacher and provides her with creative expression. This is what gives Anna the feeling of love and joy. This is the direction that helps her to see the beauty in the world. She is truly sharing what she perceives with all her heart
